Macedonia (food) - Macedonia is a a name for salad in some countries. In Italy, Spain and Latin America it is a name for a fruit salad made from fresh fruits and it is a common dessert in those countries. Jamón ibérico - Jamón ibérico is a cured ham found only in Spain. It is made from the black-coated ibérico pig (also called the cerdo negro or black pig), although according to Spain's Denominación de Origen rules on food products, jamón ibérico may be made from cross-bred pigs as long as they are at least 75% ibérico. Heifer International - Heifer International is a non-profit charitable organization based in Little Rock, Arkansas, dedicated to relieving global hunger and poverty. American farmer Dan West, its founder, was serving as a Church of the Brethren relief worker in Spain during the Spanish Civil War and became frustrated that he was forced to decide how to allocate a very limited amount of food aid (see rationing, triage). Kueh - Kuih (alternatively Kueh or Kue) is the term given to various manners of bite-sized food item in the Malaysian peninsula, much like Spain's tapas.
